Honey Bee

from Family Archive
Dedicated to some of the hardest workers I've seen...this song came to me when I was sitting in our garden behind our house. With just my ukulele I sat silent for about half an hour (very rare occasion that the kiddos were out of town with momma) and all at once I realized that there were hundreds of honey bees working hard all around me. I thought...I wonder if they notice me?! So, I started strumming and sang, "Hello, little pollinator!!"
LYRICS
Hello little Pollinator, Hello little Honey Bee
Do you like the taste of flowers early in the morning
Goodbye little pollinator goodbye little honey bee

I didn’t catch your name for faster than you came
Quick away you flew; you’ve got a job to do, don’t you?
You know you do it well, I’ll tell you I can tell
Just by looking round, the colors are profoundly beautiful

Oh honey bee, where would I be without you?

Hello little Pollinator, Hello little Honey Bee
Do you like the taste of sunshine early in the morning
Goodbye little pollinator goodbye little honey bee

I didn’t catch your name for faster than you came
Quick away you flew; you’ve got a job to do, don’t you?
You know you do it well, I’ll tell you I can tell
Just by looking round, the colors are profoundly beautiful

Oh honey bee, where would I be without you?
Oh honey bee, where would I be without you?
Oh honey bee, where would I be without you?
